Indigo is a researcher based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Her interests include sociological theories of migration, transnationalism and cosmopolitanism, race and ethnicity, family and queer studies, and screen cultures. Her doctoral thesis focused on transnational adoption, and her background also includes researching Vietnamese adoption as a Rockefeller Fellow at The University of Massachusetts, Boston in 2003/4.  Willing has also convened a number of community engagement and film related events focused on transnational adoption and also on Asian Australian cultural productions. Born in Vietnam, generation X.
