Some of my older publications and web info list me as 'Indigo Williams Willing' (note: Williams is my middle name).

BACKGROUND:

I was born in Saigon during the Vietnam War and migrated as a child by plane with four other Vietnamese children to Sydney, Australia. We were accompanied by Dr Barbara Ferguson, OAM, who worked as a health professional in areas focusing on Vietnamese women and children. I was then adopted by an Australian family and grew up in Sydney.
I currently reside in Brisbane.

I am a PhD candidate in sociology studying transnational adoption.  I am also a film & performing arts school graduate, and involved with various film and community projects including but not limited to ones focused on exploring transnational adoption and Asian Australian identities.

Cool things in life include my partner, being a parent, love, family and friendship in many forms, and those who inspire through their activism, art, writing, volunteering, research, teaching, and through the care, courage and appreciation for others that they show in their everyday lives.

I have gone into 'hibernation' to concentrate on completing final stages of thesis but if you send me an email I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Most days I write, read and maybe de-stress to music such as...

'Yes, I'm a Witch' - Yoko Ono & Various
'Monsieur Gainsbourg: Revisited' - Various
&...

Antony & The Johnsons
Cat Power
CocoRosie
Feist
Lykke Li
Mazzy Star
Metronomy
Nouvelle Vague
Peaches
Stars
The Album Leaf
The Kills
The Spores
Tracy Chapman
Yoko Ono

...& anyone else who sounds like how a soul might sometimes weep, a call to a revolution, the echo of ghosts, like a circus is in town, as memorable as a beautiful laugh and how dancing under the night sky feels.
